NZ Chicken in Hong Kong

Tens of thousands of F&B (food and beverage) industry players descended on Hong Kong on 7 May to ‘see and be seen’ at one of Asia’s largest F&B events. Now in its 32nd year, this biennial event attracts more than 42,000 visitors from over 85 countries. Incite’s Cameron Gordon commented that “Participating in HOFEX can generate exposure for international brands trying to break into the Hong Kong market, but from a sales point of view the real value seems to be for those brands that already have distribution there and are collaborating with their distribution partners to progressively expand market share.”

A good example of this is Waitoa, New Zealand’s leading free-range chicken brand. Waitoa was on display at HOFEX this year and with the dedicated support of a great distributor the brand has being steadily gaining traction in one of Asia’s most competitive markets.
