Changing consumer habits due to a fast paced lifestyle has propelled 7-Eleven into the largest chain "restaurant" in Taiwan. With over 5,500 outlets in strategic locations and plenty of ready-to-eat meal options it is by far the most convenient choice for a quick bite.

To  capitalise on the trend many 7-Eleven stores now include a sit down area where customers can have a quick meal or share some snacks with friends and colleagues.

Traditional quick service restaurants have seen a significant drop in business due to strong competition from the convenient store chains. The total number of fast food outlets has declined every year since 2012. As a result key players in market have all focused on growing their delivery service in order to compensate for the loss in dine-in customers.
